Ok so it's been a long while since I've blogged. Its been hectic trying to get the apartment up and going and my work schedule is pretty tough here. Things are good it looks like the wife is gonna have two very good job offers and that is pretty much whats been up. Oh I'd also like to apologize for the random rant that was my blog last time. The title Bring Your Own Stereo is from a Jimmies Chicken Shack album. Just so you know.

Id like to update my peeps whats going on with my good buddy David Brockman. He and his wife will be having a baby tomorrow (August 22nd). He has also quit his job at the Fox station in Nashville to go back to school and get his masters. He is a lucky son of a bitch. This also bring up the fact that my best friend from high schools wife is prego as is my good buddy B-Rock. I am extremely happy for all of my friends who are popping out the kids or loading up the oven. A child is a great thing and its even better when other people are having them. See this way my wife can play with kids and yet not have any of her own. Now I would like kids just not anytime soon. See all of these people I speak of are older than me, granted some not by much, and it fits in with what they are doing. I on the other hand am not ready for the kids and luckily neither is the wife. So to my good peeps who are producing offspring congratulations and keep it up, cause the more you have the longer I get without.

Brock brought up The Transporter 2 which I want to see also, I have the first and think its pretty good because I dont have to think just watch, so go give it a try. Also, the xbox 360 is a better buy at 399 because you get about 200 dollars in excesories for free, this being said I am going to trade in my PS2 for credit on one so if anybody wants some older PS2 games holla at me and see if you want any that Ive got. (Prince of Persia, both SoComs are just some) So everyone get an xbox 360 it comes with live and we can have parties online and I can talk to people I know and like once again. YAY :)

For anyone in the biz we have a producer spot opening up here in Norfolk at WVEC, the number one station in Hampton Roads not WTKR the last station and a joke here. Some will get why I said that others wont, some will get mad and I dont care cause Im an ass. Peace Out Good Peeps!!!!

Bring Your Own Stereo

So it has taken me a few days to post a new blog. I have found out that my computer wont let me email or write in text boxes so I cant blog or email at home. So here at work were I am so busy is where I will fill you people with my ramblings and thoughts. It also appears that more people have realized who I am though Ill never say who I am the Word and Peace Bitches should give it away. Another note here, from now on the titles of my blogs will be either song titles or album names feel free to try and guess the song/title or cheat with the internet, which ever you feel to do.

Now back to the purpose of this post. Music. Is it me or does music just suck ass right now. I bring this up because of Cores post of the top 50 albums and realized I had 2 and both were Eminems. Now I agree with some of the albums up there, however, I feel that music now is just not that good. The 'The" bands are killing me The Killers, The White Stripes and the like winning rock awards and topping the charts just kills me. These bands are not rock, not in its truest form atleast. I have done some serious thinking about the state of rock and realized that many different things have affected the aggressiveness of popular rock. First off the war and Sept 11th I feel have cause a reduction in hard "angry" rock. The late 90's were a great time for rock bands Godsmack, System of a Down and Staind had all just released their first albums. Even bands like Third Eye Blind and Matchbox Twenty were out with good mainstream rock albums and then tragedy. Now I am not here to talk bad about peoples musical taste, Im just here to try and figure out what happened to my "rock". Kid Rock went from an American Bad Ass to a country rock act. Rage Against the Machine broke up and the band members formed AudioSlave who do pretty basic rock not bad but far from RATM. I just want some rock these emo punk bands need to realize that life isnt over and these pop punk bands need to be shot. If MTV actually plays your video during the day you are not a real rock band. Another thing is bands becoming political, please stop. Green Day STOP. Green Day is a band I dont quite understand. They go from a good fun little punkish band to a political band aiming their views at Americas youth. Now lets take a look back about 10 years ago when Green Day was good with an album named Dookie and great songs about sexual frustration and masturbation. So now fast forward to them being 30 and pretty much a band who feels its ok to put out their political views and young people think they know what they are talking about. The Beastie Boys are another band that has fallen into this category no more Girls Girls Girls but now its Shit Shit Shit. I really dont know how I got here or even why I chose to write about this, I guess its the lack of quality music that I like and being force fed this monkey shit. So now Im over all of this and sorry to disapoint with a really random blog. Oh well.

By the way we are getting our first hurricane up this way, it looks as if its going to miss us and stay out at sea. Which is good because the day that it may hit is my day off and I dont want to work. They do the 12 hours on and 12 hours off here because we are so close to the coast that we dont have to drive 4 hours to get there. So yeah its been real venting and I promise most of my posts wont be like this I just wanna rock. Oh yeah Twisted Sister bitches. New Chapter

So here I am. A new place with few friends and hours of time on my hands. I have spent my time reading peeps from the old days blogs and thought, hey I can do that. Now these peeps from the old days I speak of are seasoned bloggers and in my readings I have found that more of my crew from the old days (last month) are actually on here and blogging. (Honestly in the end the whole reason I signed up was to leave a smart ass comment on someones blog and if you know me you know that Ill do pretty much anything to get one of my smart ass comments across) Though Sportslady and Core are the blogs I frequent I have found a Tarheel and a Tvwannabe in the mix and also my good homeboy rambling from East Alabama on here, plus it appears that two of my favorite peeps are lurkers who just like to gossip and really never have anything to say in person and it apears so on page too. So I dont know how I got here but I have a lot to say and not that many people to say it to, so here I am. This is my first post others will follow and hopefully be better.
